7" Adapter Head for use with a Pump When Filtering Liquids

Turn this filter head adapter sideways and slide it into a 7" diameter bag. Turn it right side up once inside and pull it up to the top. The adapter will hold tight against the ring of the bag filter, allowing you to force fluids through it with pressure from a pump. You can now attach this filter head adapter to a 1 1/2" NPT thread pipe and attach it to a pump for pressurized filtering. It is recommended that you use a diaphragm pump when pressurizing. Approx. 4 bags can be fit onto a single filter head for multiple micron size filtering. Recommended no more than 10 psi or more than 15 gpm. The more bags used on an adapter head, the more support they will hold against pressure and high flow rate to prevent stretching of the media. Why bother pressurizing your filter bags? When you use gravity filtration, fluids may pass through a clean filter quickly, but as the filter begins to clog the fluids will pass more slowly. You will spend a lot of time filtering if it is gravity fed and you will be unable to use the bags to their full lifetime expectancy. If you force the fluid through with a pump using this adapter head, you can pump until the filter bag is completely clogged and no longer allowing flow.
