The 1st stage sediment filter captures and traps dirt, sand, silt, scale and rust particles down to 30 microns. This durable, polyester filter has a pleated design to maximize dirt-holding capacity and is washable and reusable. The 2nd stage iron filter utilizes high purity manganese dioxide to effectively reduce iron, iron staining and the metallic taste in your water by converting soluble ferrous iron into insoluble ferric iron. The 3rd stage carbon filter is a radial flow granular activated carbon (GAC) cartridge that adsorbs the insoluble ferric iron to effectively treat iron. Lastly, chlorine, odors, taste and organic compounds are removed by the carbon filter to provide synthetics-free water to every faucet and water outlet. High quality housing sets consist of three (3) 20"x4. 5" industry standard bb housings. The polypropylene (HFPP) cap has 1 inch fnpt inlet and outlet ports for fast-flow rates and are pre-attached to a mounting bracket for easy setup and installation.
