• 5 MICRON SPUN SEDIMENT FILTER - Melt-blown polypropylene depth media, spun loose on the outside and denser toward the core, captures sand, silt, dirt, rust and pipe scale down to 5 microns. Debris is held through the full thickness of the cartridge rather than only at the outer face, so flow stays steadier as it loads. No binders or additives in the media.
• FITS SDC-25-1005 AND STANDARD HOUSINGS - Direct replacement for the SDC-25-1005 cartridge. The 9-7/8 in actual length fits all standard 10 in x 2.5 in housings. Same size as P5, P5A, WPD-110, WFPFC5002, AP110 class, PX05-9-7/8 and GX05 spun cartridges. CFS is an independent brand and this is not an OEM product.
• BUILT FOR WELL AND CITY WATER - On a private well the graded depth media handles the sand, grit and iron-stained sediment that surface-only filters pass or load up on quickly. On municipal lines it captures pipe scale, rust flakes and the debris that follows a water main break or hydrant flush. This is a sediment cartridge and reduces particulate only.

CFS spun sediment water filter cartridges are mechanical replacement filters for the SDC-25-1005 and any standard 10 in x 2.5 in housing. The media is melt-blown polypropylene rated 5 micron nominal, with no binders or additives.

The fibers are spun loose at the outside and denser toward the core. Coarse grit is captured in the outer layers while finer particles are held deeper in the wall, so the load spreads through the full thickness of the cartridge instead of building on one face. That is what gives spun depth media its dirt holding capacity and steadier flow as it fills.

Fitment: direct replacement for the SDC-25-1005 cartridge. The 9-7/8 in actual length fits all standard 10 in x 2.5 in housings. Same size as P5, P5A, WPD-110, WFPFC5002, AP110 class, PX05-9-7/8, GX05 and other spun cartridges.

Common uses include whole house point-of-entry filtration, well water pre-filtration, softener and pump line duty, and first-stage service ahead of carbon or reverse osmosis equipment.

Service life is typically about 3 months and varies with sediment load, water source and household usage. Replace sooner if flow drops or pressure falls off at the taps.
