The American Red Cross ARCPT200W Rover is the kind of item that will undoubtedly get you out of a tough situation. Being self-powered, simply hand crank the AM/FM/NOAA Weather radio to recharge the lithium-ion battery. This is perfect for power outages or other natural disasters that may cause power to go out. The hand crank powers more than just the radio feature. It also powers: 3 built-in LED lights and a USB connection for direct USB power transfer. Use it as a radio, flashlight or cell phone charger
Use it as a radio, flashlight or cell phone charger The Rover features a USB port which can be used to charge devices like cell phones, smart phones, computers or virtually any electronic device! To charge your devices connect via your device's charging cable to the Rover's USB socket. Then turn the band selector knob to CELL and an indicator light will turn on. The device is now charging. The radio is muted during the charge but will yield 20 minutes of power to your device depending on how long it has been charging.
If the Rover's battery is completely drained you may still charge your cell phone by hand crank turn the crank for 7 minutes at 130 rotations per minute. This should provide at least 5 minutes of talk time or use with your various devices. Tune in to crystal clear radio stations
With the Rover, you have all types of radio at your fingertips. Select AM, FM or WB (weather band) channel 1-7 with the band selector switch. Make sure to fully extend the telescopic antenna for FM or WB stations. Find your desired stations with the easy-to-use TUNE knob.

The Rover has a Li-Ion battery that recharges quickly and easily. To do so you can hand crank the Rover or plug it in, via mini-USB connection, to a computer or other USB power source to charge to full capacity.
