Description
The Serial Interface Module is a device to communicate with Convergence Network (serial) controlled light bars, ILS systems, and CN SignalMaster. To minimize the number of discrete wires (traditional individual wires) to the light bar, control lead functions are wired to the Serial Interface Module to Instead of traditional high-current wires from the lighting device, the control leads are low current, small gauge, signal wires plugged into the Serial Interface Module. The device has only power, ground, and the serial communication cable. All programming features, such as light bar pattern selection, front/rear cutoff, intersection mode, and SignalMaster control, are externally accessible. There is no need to open the module or access it internally.
