Better help understanding our Drum European Attachment Lampshades:
The interiors of the lampshades are constructed with white styrene (white lampshade plastic). All of these lampshades have European attachments similar to the one depicted. This type of lampshade is generally used on lamp bases with a screw-cap that is removed and the shade is positioned to rest on the flat part of the socket. The cap is then turned back on, holding the shade in place. The inner hole diameter of the European measures exactly 1 9/16 inches (There are different kinds of Euro attachments PLEASE measure the inner hole diameter accurately). For your Attachment DROP, this can be a little confusing. If you select a 2 inch DROP attachment, the attachment will be recessed 2 inches below the TOP of the lampshade. For Attachment RISE, this is the exact opposite of a drop. If you select 2 inch RISE, the attachment will be risen 2 inches from the BOTTOM of the lampshade.
