The Triplett gem CCTV 16-position balun hub can be installed in a 1U rack near the DVR. Use with Triplett gem bln-pvrj452 at each camera. Cable length 100 to 300 feet depending on power supply. Using a balun at each end of a UTP cable creates a more versatile and future proof system. Triplett gem baluns can enhance your system with up to 4 cameras on a single Cat5 cable. You can IP address the entire analog system plus cable in place for a full IP digital system upgrade. You can also achieve longer cable runs - Passive up to 2000 feet, active up to 1.5 miles. Triplett gem baluns also lower material cost (Cat5 versus coax cable) and reduce the labor needed during installation by using cables already in place.
