In the heart of the Balkans in the town of Ni, Serbia in an enormous window-filled space with a custom heated floor, a dozen artists are busy. Each has their own collection of cherished brushes and customized rollers and mops, some made using techniques handed down from parent to child. One long wall is filled with hundreds of cans of custom paint in every shade and color imaginable along with dyes and oils used to create the unique effects. Another room is filled with countless rolls of fresh canvas waiting to be primed and the largest room of all is filled with stunningly beautifully finished backdrops ready for the most discerning photographers, filmmakers, studios, and dealers in the world.
