Heliopan 55mm Close Up 3 Filter (705529) with specialty Schott glass in floating brass ring

Description

• Heliopans premier Close-Up +3 Filter is the most practical and affordable method of macro photography. This progressive convex lens design and +3 dioptric strength shortens the distance between shooter and subject; allowing intimate close-ups with optical clarity. The front and rear surfaces of the Close-Up Filter both feature a special coating to neutralize reflections and increase color saturation without offsetting overall color and tone. This results in a well-balanced and robust image, which is a must for any sensible photographer
• Our standard 8-Layer Multi-Coating minimizes reflections and does not interfere with the resolution of your camera optics
• Constructed from the highest German Schott Optics, which guarantees incredible optical resolution. Our glass is specially ground and polished to minimize internal reflections, while ensuring that the quality of your images are not degraded by using our optics in front of your lens. It is also specially hardened to resist most impacts
• Our precision cut brass ring ensures a secure and sturdy fit, are more resistant to side impacts, and less likely to bind or cross-thread after extended use
• We do not source any materials outside of Germany in the assembly and construction of our products. All raw materials are prepared and hand-assembled in our factory and do not leave our facility until they are completely inspected by our quality technicians

The 55mm Heliopan Close-up lenses are the simplest and least expensive method of close-up/macro photography. These convex lenses (plus) shorten the focal length at the same focus setting. They are supplied in the most popular screw-in, push-on, drop-in and bayonet sizes. Close-up lenses can be used in combination. To avoid edge unsharpness, one should stop down to at least F 5.6 or F 8. No exposure correction is necessary. This will allow you to shoot your stamps, flowers in your garden, your jewelry collection and many other small items.
