Larger-gauge captive rings can be difficult to insert and remove by hand. Hobby Tool Supply offers ring opening pliers for manipulating captive rings with ease. Choose from a variety of ring opening pliers made from quality, autoclavable stainless steel. When using your ring opening pliers, take care not to widen the gap too much. Use just a small amount of pressure to remove the bead in most cases. Also works for closing captive rings.
