This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a blue dragonfly in the center of a tile. Prominent colors: white, grey, blue, light blue, green the art bug bit Michele at a very young age. Michele entered a painting in the Kellogg's stick-ups for breakfast contest back in the 1970s and to her surprise she was one of the first place finalists winning a brand new Bike. Always interested in art Michele has always been encouraged and supported by her family. She graduated from the art Institute of Pittsburgh where she met her husband Marc, who is also an artist. Marc and Michele met the first day of school and realized they lived less than two miles from each other back home in Western new York. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
